Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla hurling a stone on the bowl. Rev. ΤΑΡ[ANTINΩN] Owl with wings spread standing right on thunderbolt, head facing; below, ΔΙ; to right, ΣΩ. HN Italy 1018 var. SNG ANS 1317-9. Vlasto 1068-74. Lovely iridescent toning. Light marks and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
